Mouth Cancer Awareness Week 2010← Return to Blog
At Diamond Dental Clinic we like to support at least one charity per year and in 2010, we decided to pledge our support to a charity we felt was very relevant to ourselves as a dental practice.
Mouth Cancer refers to cancer occurring in any part of the mouth, tongue, lips, and adjacent areas like the throat, salivary glands, pharynx, larynx, sinus and other sites in the head & neck area. The mouth cancer foundation hosted a “Mouth Cancer Awareness Week” from 14th to 20th November 2010 and the whole team at Diamond Dental Clinic took part in raising funds for this event.
We organised supporting materials: a charity donation box, patient leaflets and the whole team wore Mouth Cancer Awareness T-shirts for that week. This drew the patient’s attention to the charity and raised both awareness and money for this excellent cause. We were very pleased with the response we got and hope to take part again.
