Open day at Diamond Dental Clinic

Diamond Dental Clinic was pleased to host an open day on Saturday 5th December 2009. As a result of the recent move to the new premises on the Burn Road, the staff were more than happy to come together to promote their new building to the local community.

The morning started with everyone gathering at the practice to discuss what they hoped to achieve from the open day which was: a fun filled day raising awareness of what the new clinic had to offer and talking and building a relationship with existing patients as well as potential new ones. The morning got off to a very cold start with the December weather but this didn’t prevent the people of Cookstown coming into town to see what all the fuss was about.

The dentists and staff were extremely proud to give people a tour of the new building, show off their latest dental gadgets and explain how the new technology worked.

Feedback from the public following the open day proved very positive indeed with one of our new patients saying: “I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service I received at the open day. I was greeted by one of the nurses downstairs who brought me up to see the practice. Before going on a tour I was offered a cup of tea and a chat to the receptionist about what I wanted from a dental practice in terms of quality, service and value for money. Getting more information than I ever imagined I could, I left the calm and tranquil reception area accompanied by one of the dentists to see his surgery. I was again very shocked at the state-of-the-art equipment that this dental practice in Cookstown had to offer. A very small intra-oral camera was able to show me every detail of my teeth on a very clear, colour LCD screen in front of me. This meant I could see exactly what the dentist sees and therefore understand when discussing diagnosis and treatment options. I left the clinic very happy and confident that when I joined I would be very well looked after and valued as an individual patient.”

Speaking afterwards, Liam Diamond, Practice Principal said: “We are extremely happy with the success of our open day. It gave us an opportunity to get to know our patients on a personal level and what they want and expect from a dental practice in these modern times. We hope to continue to grow and expand, providing a very high level of service and quality of dentistry to the community.”
